    Alpina Foods, LLC Genesee 50 04-08-2011 One of the most recognized dairy companies in the world will open its first specialty yogurt manufacturing plant in the United States in Batavia (Genesee County), creating 50 jobs.
    Boundary Fence & Railing Systems Inc. Monroe 35 10-18-2011 The manufacturer and distributor of vinyl fence and railing products is opening a new facility in Gates and will employ 35 to 40 people by mid-December 2011.
    Carestream Health Inc. Ontario 20 04-14-2011 The Rochester-based medical imaging company will take over space at the Smart System Technology & Commercialization Center (STC) in Canandaigua and invest in new equipment and facility upgrades. The investment will mean 20 new Carestream and STC positions at the facility over the next 18 months.
    DataPhysics Research Inc. Monroe 19 11-01-2011 The medical imaging software company, which specializes in software used in radiology diagnoses, is setting up a product development team at the Lennox Tech Enterprise Center in Henrietta. The team will employ 19 people.
    E2e Materials Inc. Ontario 50 12-14-2011 The company will establish a full-scale production facility to manufacture sustainable bio-composite products used in cabinetry, furniture and automotive components. When completed in 2012, the plant is expected to employ 50 people, and that is expected to grow to about 200 over the next four years. In addition to the manufacturing jobs, the plant is expected to spark 1,600 agricultural jobs in the region to produce flax, the renewable fiber that will be used in creating the bio-composite products.
    First American Equipment Finance Monroe 20 11-01-2011 The company plans to hire as many as 20 people over the next 12 months. The hires will be in sales and operations. The company currently employs 88 people.
    General Electric Co. Monroe 15 04-15-2011 The company announced a $2 million investment in its Rochester manufacturing facility to produce printed circuit boards used for the company's line of industrial communications, monitoring and metering systems. The expansion will mean 15 new jobs at the plant, which currently employs 200 people.
    General Motors Monroe 30 04-13-2011 The company will invest $100 million to manufacture a new fuel injection product line, securing over 800 hourly and salaried employees and adding an additional 30 jobs. The new jobs are all UAW hourly jobs critical to the new injector design and include machine and equipment operators.

    Nothnagle Monroe 35 04-17-2011 The region's largest real estate firm has relocated to downtown Rochester. The company plans to create 35 jobs to add to its 70 full-time and 10 part-time staffers.
    Pactiv Corp. Ontario 50 09-01-2011 The company has received a $750,000 grant for the addition of two production lines. As part of its grant obligation, the company committed to hiring 50 low-to-moderate income people.
    Rochester Precision Optics Monroe 130 06-22-2011 The optics firm plans an expansion of its Henrietta manufacturing facility and expects to create about 130 full-time jobs. The company now employs 146 full-time employees.
    Smart System Technology and Commercialization Center Ontario 300 09-28-2011 Three hundred jobs are being created at the center to produce chips for sensors used by the military and industry.
    Smart System Technology and Commercialization Center Ontario 20 03-31-2011 The center is receiving $5 million to beef up its organic light emitting diode manufacturing and other technology development capabilities. The funding comes as Moser Baer Technologies is setting up a pilot production facility for OLED lighting panels at the center. The money will help retain 40 jobs and create an additional 20 full-time positions, as well as assist Moser Baer in its plans to employ 50 at the site.
    Sutherland Global Services Inc. Monroe 500 10-19-2011 The company plans to add 400 full-time and 100 part-time positions by the end of 2012. The company employs people in business process outsourcing, which is the handling of front-office and back-office operations for other companies, such as running their information technology desks and call centers and doing their accounting. They also provide analytical services including data management and financial research.
    Tractor Supply Co. Monroe 17 04-14-2011 The company is building a new store in Honeoye Falls. Completion is tentatively set for August 2011. The company expects to hire 12 to 17 full- and part-time employees.
    Unity Health System Monroe 14 12-22-2011 Construction began on a 16,000 square-foot building to house doctors' offices and physical therapy and ob/gyn services. The new building is slated to be completed in June 2012 and expected to create 14 full-time jobs.
    Windstream Corp. Monroe 335 11-14-2011 The company, which bought PAETEC Communications, will locate 335 workers at the Midtown Plaza site for which they signed a 15-year lease. Construction is expected to be complete at the site in July 2013.

    School at Industry Monroe 84 06-09-2011 The state plans to close the Industry Secure Center and downsize the Industry Limited Secure Center, juvenile justice facilities in Rush, affecting 84 positions.
    The Connection Yates 100 01-06-2011 Due to the call center closing in early February 2011, between 70 and 100 workers will lose their jobs.
    Windstream Corp. Monroe 52 12-02-2011 The company plans to eliminate 52 jobs as it restructures to accommodate the acquisition of PAETEC. The cuts are mostly redundant positions at the corporate level in human resources, marketing and accounting.
    Xerox Corp. Monroe 250 06-21-2011 About 250 Rochester-area employees will begin collecting paychecks from HCL Technologies Ltd., an India-based information technology and software firm. The employees will continue doing much of the same work and, in most cases, will stay at their same Xerox locations.
