Highest Wage Industries in New York State, 2007

       Important Background Information

     

  • 2007 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages data were sorted by labor market region and 4-digit NAICS Industry (private and public ownerships) to develop the lists presented in this analysis.

  • Industries that failed minimum size (job count) thresholds were eliminated. The minimum job
    count for statewide industries was 1,000, while the minimum for regional industries was 500 jobs.

  • Industries that failed data confidentiality restrictions were also eliminated from consideration.

  • Public Administration industries (NAICS 92) were not included in this analysis.
