Labor Statistics for the North Country Region Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties

Private sector employment in the North Country rose over the year by 800, or 0.7 percent, to 110,100 in April 2013. The largest gains were in leisure and hospitality (+700), trade, transportation, and utilities (+300), and manufacturing (+300). Loses were recorded in educational and health services (-300), natural resources, mining, and construction (-100), and professional and business services (-100).
