The Labor Department will now be releasing the number of new job postings from the New York State Job Exchange each week covering every region of the state. Below you will find the number of new jobs separated by region, along with employers that have the most openings and the top ten job title openings. To the right is a video that will walk you through how to search for jobs in the New York State Job Exchange. You can also take a look at our other videos that can help you with putting together a resume or the services offered at one of our 81 One-Stop Career Centers across the state.

Capital Region: This week in the Capital Region there are 2,773 new job postings in the job bank. Albany Medical Center has 251 new job openings for administrative support associates, patient care associates, registered nurses and support team associates. Drivers Job Source is looking for drivers living in the Capital Region area. Expinfo has 99 new job postings for oracle programming analysts, business analysts, JAVA developers, system network administrators and client server programmers. Glens Falls Hospital has 84 new job openings for registered nurses, nurse assistants, medical secretaries, and clinical managers. World Logistics Group has 60 new job openings for packers and pickers. Here are the top ten job title openings in the Capital Region:
Central Region: This week the Central Region has 1,954 new job postings in the job bank. SUNY Upstate Medical University has 200 positions open for registered nurses, clinical associate professors, assistant professors, and clinical lab technologists. Little Lukes has 164 new job postings in the job bank for occupational therapists, physical therapists and speech pathologists. Rehab Resources has 157 job openings for physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists. Drivers Job Source has 120 new job postings for drivers within 100 miles of Syracuse. Here are the top ten job title openings in the Central Region:
Finger Lakes Region: This week in the Finger Lakes region there are 1,855 new job postings in the job bank. Global Employment Services has 602 new job openings for RN’s and LPN’s for direct care. Drivers Job Source has 330 new job postings for drivers in or near Albion, Batavia, Canandaigua, Geneseo, Geneva, Mount Morris, Newark, Penn Yan, Rochester, Warsaw or Henrietta. Rochester General Health System has 219 job openings for access associates, business care associates, physicians, patient care technicians and registered nurses. Highland Hospital has 40 new job postings for registered nurses, unit secretaries, physicians, nursing managers, patient care technicians and nurse practitioners. Medical Solutions has 121 new job openings listed for CNAs, HHAs, LPNs and RNs. Kelly Services has 110 new jobs posted for assemblers, electronic assemblers and stockers. Here are the top ten job title openings in the Finger Lakes Region:
Hudson Valley Region: This week in the Hudson Valley region there are 3,553 new job postings in the job bank. Drivers Job Source has 390 new job openings listed for drivers living in or near Carmel, Kingston, Middletown, Monticello, Mount Vernon, Newburgh, Peekskill, Poughkeepsie, Spring Valley, Suffern, White Plains, Yonkers or Wurtsboro. Health Quest has 127 openings for registered nurses, LPNs, pharmacists and patient care technicians. VIP Health Care has 120 new job openings for home health aides or trainees. Staffmark LLC has 120 new job postings for material handlers and shipping/receiving. Environmental Engineering Solutions has 99 new job postings for environmental engineers. Long Island: This week in Long Island there are 6,672 job postings on the job bank. Drivers Job Source has 180 new job postings for drivers living in or near Freeport, Hauppauge, Hempstead, Hicksville, Patchogue or Riverhead. The US Army has 150 job postings for positions. Brookhaven National Laboratory has 149 new job postings in the job bank for postdoctoral research associates, administrative services assistants, assistant scientists and physicists, and technical specialists. USM-Transfield Services Group has 92 new job postings for janitorial staff. Mohawk Valley Region: This week the Mohawk Valley Region has 961 new job openings in the job bank. Drivers Job Source has 240 new jobs postings for drivers living in or near Amsterdam, Cobleskill, Cooperstown, Gloversville, Herkimer, Oneonta, Rome or Utica. Staffworks has 140 new job postings for customer service reps, picker/packers, and production workers. Adecco has 106 new job postings for holiday help. The federal government has 87 new job postings for data management specialists, professional engineers, budget analysts and accountants. Here are the top ten job title openings in the Mohawk Valley Region:
New York City: This week in New York City there are 19,749 new jobs posted in the job bank.
New York City Department of Education has 5,329 new job openings listed for teachers in all subject areas, special education teachers, staff developers, psychologists and assistant principals. CPS Dental has 500 new jobs posted for independent sales agents. The New School has 281 new job postings for admission counselors, assistant direcctors, assistant professors and part-time faculty. KForce has 253 new jobs posted for assistant director of medical records, business analysts, system administrators, java developers, oracle developers, project managers, senior business analysts, and tax managers. Mitchell Martin has 250 job openings for business analysts, project managers, java developers, physical therapists, senior developers, support analysts and speech language pathologists. Drivers Job Source has 240 new jobs posted for drivers living in or near the Bronx, Brooklyn, Far Rockaway, Flushing, Jamaica, New York City and Staten Island. The federal government has 230 new job postings listed for electronics engineers, project managers, contract specialists, logistics management specialists, quality assurance specialists and civil engineers.

North Country: This week in the North Country Region there are 704 new jobs posted in the job exchange. Labor Ready has 505 new job postings for crowd control and retail helper positions. Drivers Job Source has 240 new job postings for drivers living in or near Canton, Lowville, Malone, Massena, Ogdensburg, Plattsburgh, Saranac Lake and Watertown. The federal government has 88 new job openings in the region for contract specialists, information technology specialists, mission support assistants and specialists, and border patrol agents. Samaritan Health system has 55 job openings certified nursing assistants, registered nurses and lab assistants. Little Lukes and Milestone’s Childrens Center has 55 new job openings for physical therapist and speech language pathologists. Here are the top ten job title openings in the North Country:
Southern Tier: In the Southern Tier Region there are 876 new job postings this week in the job bank. Drivers Job Source has 360 new job postings for drivers living in or near Bath, Binghamton, Corning, Cortland, Delhi, Endicott, Hornell, Ithaca, Norwich, Sidney, Watkins Glen, and Elmira. Global Employment Services has 110 new job postings for LPN’s for direct care and RN’s for direct care. Western New York: In the Western New York region there are 2,501 new job postings in the job bank. Drivers Job Source has 300 new jobs posted for drivers living in or near Belmont, Blasdell, Dunkirk, Jamestown, Lockport, Niagara Falls, Olean, Tonawanda, Williamsville and within 100 miles of Buffalo.
